Our Farm

A sustainable flower farm in the Comox Valley

Welcome to our family farm!

Established in Comox in 2019, our farm grows a huge variety of cut flowers to share with our community! We love bees and wildlife, and we work all year to improve the health of our soil and our ecosystem.

We grow a huge variety of old-fashioned favourites, such as roses, gladiolus, lilies, dahlias, sweet peas, delphiniums and more! Our farm stand bouquets are ready three days a week for your enjoyment, and we would be delighted to work with you to help you plan your special event!

"Ravenhall Farm sells the most beautiful flower arrangements and the prices are amazing! I have been a loyal customer now for 4 years! Star is so wonderful and she takes so much pride in every arrangement she makes." Wendy P.

The Flower Season

Early April

Our flower season begins with daffodils and the first tulips, which are accompanied by cherry, plum, and apple blossoms!

Mid April

Mid month brings lots of tulips in a huge variety of colours and types! They pair perfectly with evergreen branches and plum blossoms.

Late April

The month ends with gorgeous huge tulips, which are joined by the first bleeding hearts! Some years we will have greenhouse ranunculus at this time as well.

Early May

Late tulips and bleeding hearts pair beautifully with our wide variety of evergreen foliage.

Mid May

The last of the tulips are joined by the first alliums and Dutch irises! Greenhouse ranunculus (if grown) are usually ending at this time.

Late May

Dutch irises and alliums are the stars of the show at this time, bringing colour and beautiful structure to arrangements.

Early June

The last of the irises, alliums, and bleeding hearts are joined by peonies, foxgloves, and the first scented stock!

Mid June

Roses! Our 100 rose bushes begin producing stunning blooms. They are accompanied by peonies, the last irises and alliums and the first of the catmint and feverfew!

Late June

Roses galore at this time allow us to pick armloads of them. They are joined by feverfew, sweet peas, cress, and mint.

Early July

July brings an abundance of flowers with snapdragons, sweet peas, tons of roses and the first cosmos and dahlias.

Mid July

Mid month brings tons of snapdragons, more dahlias each day, sunflowers, calla lilies, butterfly bush, statice, rudbeckia and gladiolus.

Late July

The month ends with a bounty of flowers as warm weather ushers in tons of lilies, hydrangeas, sunflowers, gladiolus, cosmos, phlox, rudbeckia and statice.

Early August

Dalias are bountiful this month, and they are joined by zinnias, cosmos, sunflowers, rudbeckia and statice. Roselilies make their appearance too!

Mid August

Sunflowers are abundant and beautiful from the long hot days, and they look great with our huge selection of dahlias! Cosmos and statice keep them company.

Late August

Dahlias become the stars of the show at this time. We have tons of varieties, from tiny pom-poms to huge dinnerplates! They join statice, rudbeckia and sunflowers.

Early September

Dahlias continue to flower prolifically. The fall rains bring much needed moisture to our fields, and sunflowers, rudbeckia, cosmos and zinnias love it!

Mid September

Dahlias, sunflowers, statice and cosmos continue flowering prolifically. A second flush of snapdragons and cosmos often happens at this time.

Late September

Our flowers are continuing to bloom eagerly, but we close our farm to have a much needed rest. The seedheads are all left on the plants to provide food for the thousands of migratory birds that come to visit our farm!
